March Newsletter

March has seen a lot of personal and professional development for our clients and staff.  Read about everything that’s been going on below.

      Sponsored Walk

Lee, along with a great team, have organised a sponsored walk to take place in June in order to raise money for Headway – the brain injury association. They will embark on a 10 mile walk around Derwentwater Lake in the Lake District.

Headway is an extremely important organisation to Lee, after experiencing his own life-altering accident in 2016, and he is dedicated to raising money to show his support and gratitude to the charity.

We are very proud of Lee and excited to be supporting him in this.

        Client Occupational Journey

We are thrilled to announce that the client we have been assisting in her pursuit of a career in the sports/fitness industry has enrolled in a course to achieve her level 3 sports massage qualification. This accomplishment is a direct result of her exceptional dedication and the hard work she has invested over the past few months.

She has been working closely with our sports therapist, Chris Moulder, to develop her sports massage skills. Additionally, she has been shadowing our personal trainers during client sessions to learn the intricacies of programming and coaching. Through this process, she has steadily built the skills and confidence necessary to lead portions of PT sessions. Due to her hard work and commitment, she recently planned and led her first full client PT session, receiving excellent feedback.

We are incredibly proud of her achievements during her time with us and look forward to supporting her in her future endeavours.

            Staff Training

This month, our team will be visited by Neuropsychologist Dr Claire to take part in some CPD training around Acquired brain injuries. During the training, we will gain a deeper understanding of the crucial role that neuropsychologists play in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of individuals with ABI. Furthermore, Dr. Claire will equip us with practical strategies that we can implement to enhance the engagement and participation of our own clients who are living with an ABI. This invaluable training will not only broaden our knowledge base but also refine our skill set, enabling us to provide more effective and comprehensive support to our clients.
